Was 'Home' the root of Harry and Meghan's problem?

Aug 18, 2020

Here we are again with the world’s media in a feeding frenzy over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to walk away from life as working members of the Royal Family.

Just when they hoped for some peace and quiet in lockdown LA , aside from drones overflying their home, there is a new book ‘Finding Freedom, Harry and Meghan and the making of a Modern Royal Family' raking over the coals and setting light to the story again…

And what a story! A bi-racial champion of girls, inclusion and breaking through the ‘traditional’ perspective on what a princess is, married to a prince who despite his antipathy for the press and living in the public eye, had devoted his life to service first in the army and then as a proud representative of HM the Queen.

Back in January I talked about the timeline for the breakdown in the relationships within the Royal Family and how things noticeably SOURED from the time Harry and Meghan moved into their NEW HOME at Frogmore Cottage, the residence refurbished at significant cost (which I’d like to remind any haters, the couple are repaying in full to the Taxpayer).

From an Interiors Therapy perspective I believe there will have been multiple potential triggers in terms of the possessions the couple included within Frogmore Cottage, which is a much bigger space than their previous home in the grounds of Kensington Palace.

The move to Frogmore Cottage gave them the opportunity to take items out of storage, potentially things which had belonged to the late Princess of Wales with energetically damaging effect.

These triggers will have led to the couple feeling unsupported and under attack in other areas of their lives. Once they got away, firstly to Canada and then to California, the impact will have lessened, but while the triggers remain in the couple’s primary home, there will always be a degree of influence.

In Interiors Therapy, life invariably mirrors art.

As all of this has blown up now, I’d be curious to know whether a new batch of the royal couple’s belongings has arrived at their rental home recently.

I rather suspect it has, and that would be the first place I would ask them to look for possessions which may be creating the negativity, pressure and feelings of being under attack.

Your home and surroundings can have a huge impact on your life, in a positive or negative way!

I think it’s time to find the positive and filter out the stuff which compromises relationships, life, family cohesion and breaks hearts of the people who love us most..

The blueprint for an Interiors Therapy lifestyle is right here in ‘Welcome Home, How Stuff Makes or Breaks your Relationship’. I’d love for you to buy it in a local bookstore, but if they don’t have one in stock, you’ll find it on Amazon in the UK at https://amzn.to/2ZNqWtz or Amazon International at https://amzn.to/2TJWht1
